Hide X Who to Follow

The Who to follow section on X is designed to grow your network, but it can also feel like noise when you just want to scroll your timeline. This Drop in hides that section from the sidebar so the interface stays minimal.

If you already follow the accounts you care about, the suggestions add little value. Removing them makes the page feel quieter and helps you stay focused on the content you came for instead of getting pulled into profile browsing.

You can still find new accounts through search, replies, and retweets. This just stops the sidebar from pushing them.

Good to Know

  • X UI changes frequently, so the section location may shift over time
  • Doesn't require API credits
  • You can still discover accounts through search and your timeline

Best Use Cases

  • Decluttering the X interface
  • Avoiding recommendation rabbit holes
  • Keeping browsing sessions focused
  • Reducing decision fatigue while scrolling
